Provide Lift

Lord, today I pray that you might provide lift to ____. When she’s thinking 100mph, provide lift. Allow her to see through the chaos of the moment. Stop all the flashing lights in her mind. Freeze time, Lord. May she hear your calm voice, saying, “Peace be still,” and instantly, may all those waves that are crashing in on her heart be brought to absolute tranquility, awaiting your next command. May the wind blowing through her soul be silenced instantly.

If one of the recurring themes in her heart is guilt, please assure her that the sacrifice of your Son has already occurred and it is enough to cover any and all the sins of humanity, including hers. Provide lift, Lord, please.

If one of the recurring themes in her heart is fear, please deliver courage beyond anything she’s ever felt. Assure her that you’ve already settled this battle. If it’s fear of some physical ailment, speak truth to her — that you created her first cell and that you’ve been there ever since. Please tell her that she can trust in you to carry her through any and all maladies. Provide lift, Lord, please.

If she’s feeling a form of panic about something — anything — please reveal to her again the might of your power. Flood her memories with the millions of occasions in which you’ve worked out your flawless will and brought into conformity every little detail in her life and in the lives of others around the world. Please be the wind beneath her wings and provide lift, Lord.
