1 Peter 5:6-11

6) Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7) Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 8) Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9) Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. 10) And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11) To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Dear Lord, today I ask that you hear my prayers for ____. She is already humble. Help her to trust in the power of your mighty hand. Please lift her up. You are sovereign. You are almighty. You are powerful. Please could you lift her up as soon as your will might allow. Thank you for offering to receive all her anxiety. You have broad shoulders and you care for her. May she be alert and mindful of your strength. May she also be aware of the devil and his attacks on her life. Please guard her and give her strength to ward off his darts. May she stand firm in her faith in you. She’s the last to speak of her sufferings. She always wants to help others. But right now, Lord, would you help her. You are indeed the God of all grace, who called her to your eternal glory in Christ. Please remind her that, after she has endured a time of challenge, you, the great God of mercy and strength, will make her strong, firm, and steadfast. Lord, we celebrate your power. You alone are Lord for ever and ever.
