Letting Go
Dear Lord, today I lift up ____. Perhaps it’s not often that she struggles with anxiety – but when she does, it’s difficult for her to fully let go of a stressful thought or outcome. Maybe she feels like the world around her is pressing in. Maybe it will seem like she can’t see evidence of all that you’re doing. Perhaps she can’t understand or see your purpose or plan. So today, I pause and ask … would you always remind her of her dependency on you. Remind her in her heart that her future is being shaped by your hands – and, as a result, she can trust in you.
May she choose purposefully (even urgently) to believe in you. May she realize that it’s often in the most challenging times that you are most at work. Thank you for being the one who gives us the strength to her. May she see look to you alone for the power and possibility that is her future.
I ask this morning that you would help her walk fully in your path – a path that you have blessed in advance. Would you please make your face to shine on her – individually, intentionally, proactively — and would you please make her aware of your presence, both to comfort and guide her.
Please bring to fulfillment all that you have given her to do with and in her life. Give her a heart of wisdom to hear your voice and make her footsteps firm. Please make her strong through your favor and grace.
In the mighty name of Jesus I pray,
Amen
