Every once and a while, we review various platforms for sending funds across oceans. Western Union has been a perennial favorite. https://www.westernunion.com/ But these money-moving tools have multiplied like rabbits. For example, have any of our thousands of Brigada participants dealt with TransferWise? Another mentioned WorldRemit? Whom would you trust most? Which platform would you most recommend?
7) Would You Trust TransferWise To Send Funds?
Greek Bible Tours uses Transferwise exclusively for our international wires (although in the case of Transferwise, it is not actually a wire but rather an exchange of money, thus the reason for lower rates). This has worked for us without a hitch for 3 years and saved hundreds of dollars in fees.
Over the years, I have used TransferWise for substantial amounts. It is a great deal if currency exchange is involved (much better rate than banks offer).
Living in Paris and we use TransferWise often and would certainly recommend it.
We have used Revolut to transfer money. It is a newer company, but has worked well.
We use Worldremit to several different African countries, both to bank accounts and to M-pesa, and would definitely recommend it. The M-pesa transfers are basically instant. (Less than 30 minutes usually)

We have used World Remit for for transfer to commercial entities in much of Africa, like air time for local SIM cards when out of the country of the card. It was easy and reliable, and good enough that I have forgotten which others I tried. On other continents we have used Western Union for a few transfers.
I have used Transfer Wise for the last two years for overseas payments and never had any problems with it. I recommend it.

Absolutely. I’ve used Transferwise exclusively for a few years now. It has worked flawlessly for transferring funds to my personal account, for payments and for charitable giving in several European countries. The only thing I’ve found that is any cheaper is getting money in person directly from an ATM. That’s not much cheaper, less convenient, and in some cases (like giving charitably to another country) impossible.
Indeed. I’ve used T-Wise frequently over the past year to both send and receive funds. It is super easy and has always been completely reliable.
I use Transferwise to money money to Thailand. It has a high exchange rate. Western Union lowers the exchange rate immensely. I just sent $100 to Myanmar WU. They changed me $7 on this end and they lowered the exchange rate so low that it cost us $20 to send $100.
… In Thailand now the exchange is 32.02… The best rate in Thailand is 32.05 Baht per USD. Almost the same.
I have been using TransferWise for some time and it worked quite well. They just have a low money transaction limit per year.
I have used TransferWise a few times to India, and so far have had great success and the exchange rate seems excellent! It has been quick and seemless.
TransferWise has been working well for me for a couple years. Its higher exchange rate seems to more than make up for the fee, so I end up letting it charge from the total I send, rather than paying the fee separately as I used to with WU.

TransferWise has been a good service for out international office. I highly recommend it as a reliable, fast and inexpensive means to transfer funds into multiple currencies.
