4) TripIt Pro – A Smart Travel Companion for Global Workers
I’ve used Tripit Pro for many years, and it more than pays for itself in early notifications of changes, which airlines are slow in push notifications to their travelers. There have been times where these early notifications allowed us to make adjustments to our travel, which were only available to first-come first-serve requests.
Over the past year, I added Flighty, which has integration with Tripit, and provides more granular information and is even faster in its notifications.
If you travel regularly, both are recommended.
i have been using it too, but found it lagged and gave us info about gate changes and delays long after it was useful. Maybe it had to do with the speed of our service but the airline-provided info arrived much earlier. I would never not have Tripit, as i find it invaluable to have all my trip info in one place and automatically sorted, But, I am a little on the fence about Pro. I’m looking at it more suspiciously these days.

I’ve used TripIt Pro for years and am currently on a 270 day mission trip to various countries that literally will take me round the world in that time. With every flight in there, every hotel, important events and details, etc. it literally takes 176 pages to print out! TripIt Pro alerts to gate changes (sometimes before they are announced in the airport!), offers flight alternatives if your flight is delayed or cancelled, and more. It also synchronises with my calendar which is shared with my wife and so we have all those details appearing as needed in our phones on a daily basis. The ability to forward itineraries, hotel bookings, car hire confirmations, etc. to an email address and have it all appear in your TripIt account (inside the correct trip) and then sync across to the calendar is fabulous, straightforward and has never let me down.
I use the free version and it has been great! I love the ability to invite people to the trip as a participant or just as a viewer. The ability to sync with Google calendar is so nice!!
