Ever come across the “wordless book” gospel-sharing tool? Now you can use this soccer ball https://www.etsusa.org/eball-soccer-balls-size-5-uses-wordless-book-colors-p6252.html as a wordless book too! All the colors are there. This would be great for a short-term missions trip focused on soccer. (Thanks Jim!) Here’s more on the wordless book tool: https://brigada.org/wordless-book-how-to-share-the-gospel-through-colors .

Neat idea! How great would it be if the ball also had a QR code on it that led directly to a web page explaining the colors in a creative way in the language of the device accessing it?!
This is a great tool!
I do have one concern with the whole colour system though – I have spent quite a bit of time in West Africa and I’m never comfortable that I, as a white person, are showing people of black skin, that the black is representative of us being separated from God (especially with the historically appalling treatment of black Africans from white [mainly] Europeans.
I know it represents sin and the absence of light, but it’s my understanding doesn’t remove my uneasiness about it.
Is there an option to choose one with a colour that avoids this sort of mis-understanding?
Thanks so much!
