I received this question this past week and, though I have some favorites, I didn’t want to be biased. Can you help broaden our base on this by suggesting your favorite laptop or ultrabook for international workers?

Macbook Air: 11″
Agree with John: You really can’t beat the Air for computing power, solid hardware and size. The 11″ is the only laptop I’ve found that can work on an airplane at the back of the economy section.
You definitely can’t beat the mobile computing power, reliability, and battery life of any MacBook.
iPads will do pretty much everything you can do with laptops these days as well…especially when you get into the world of paying for the inflight wifi available on most flights these days.
I agree that a MacBook would be nice but I find they are not as rugged as I need or like. If you need a Windows laptop…the Lenovo ThinkPad X230…light weight, powerful and rugged.
iPhone 5 + Bluetooth keyboard if you want to be super portable and yet able to type full-speed.
I agree with the MacBook Air 11 as first option, and the iPad mini as second option.
I have been using 14″ Dell Latitude laptops for more than 10 years and find that they work great, and are quite reliable.
