  1. LIFE’S A BLUR — Is it just me, or is the pace picking up for you too? No, we didn’t die here at Brigada… but I’ll admit that life is a blur! :-) And, despite some passionate appeals for sponsorships to help cover the cost of a secretary, I believe our total sponsorship income for Brigada throughout the first 6 months of 2003 will total out to something just short of $500. So here’s the deal. If Brigada Today means something to you, please log on at: https://brigada.org and click on “Sponsor” at the bottom of the page. First please take a look at the kind-hearted souls who are trying to help us forge on … and then… please join them! The amount isn’t as crucial. Donate $25 or $250! From your church, your company, or your wallet. You can even make the gift anonymous, if you’d prefer. (Just send us an email with that instruction.) Use PayPal, or send a check according to the instructions at the bottom of that sponsorship page. We’ll certainly appreciate it… and crank out more missions resources all the more. Thanks for your partnership!

  2. HOW DO WE TRAIN THE TRAINERS!? — Mark <mark.naylor@twu.ca></mark.naylor@twu.ca> <mark.naylor@twu.ca> has it right. He’s trying to figure out “how do we train the trainers?” In a recent email, he asked, “In establishing an experienced based cross- cultural training program for missionaries, the key factor is the enthusiasm and ability of the mentor to guide the process in the cross- cultural context. Are there resources: books, courses, websites, etc. which would be of help in training missionaries to be successful mentors of interning missionaries?” Do you see his point? To prepare a new generation of missionaries, how can we equip the *current* generation to be helpers? Mark will prepare a report for us once he’s finished editing your responses. Be sure and write him in the next two weeks so you can be a part of that report. We’ll make that report available here on Brigada. Thanks Mark! Very relevant question!
