  1. SPECIAL MOBILIZATION ISSUE — Welcome to this special Brigada Today, with a special focus on missions mobilization, dedicated to a special long-time friend and contributor, Kenneth Wes <kennethwes@aol.com>. (In fact, he contributed several of these resources below!) Ken does an amazing job assembling these kinds of lists. (We’ll call him “The List Man!”) We mention him up front here because he’s a great example of someone who takes Brigada Today resources, adds them together with a ton of his own, then redistributes them to just about everybody in the whole *world*. Tip of the hat to you Ken! </kennethwes@aol.com>

  2. MISSION MOBILIZATION & EDUCATION NETWORK — Have you heard about the news about a new network of mission agencies, denominations and associations? Charter members are ACMC, the Association of Christian Schools International, Caleb Project, SIM, CB International, TEAM, Woman’s Missionary Union of the Southern Baptist Convention, World Concern and Wycliffe Bible Translators. The network serves to share missions mobilization vision, identify key resources, target gaps in missions education resourcing, and address options by which the gaps may be filled. Their initial project will be the launch of a website to reach these goals. The children’s division has already premiered at http://www.21stCenturyKidsConnect.org . Don’t see your organization listed above? Just contact the new director, Mark Sigmon, at <missions@cornerstone.edu> for further information. (Thanks Ken!) </missions@cornerstone.edu>

  3. MISSION MOBILIZERS WEB-HOME — Nate is another one of those guys who contributes and works his heart out for missions mobilization. He does a great job keeping the Brigada Missions Mobilizers going. Whew! What a faithful servant. See the database that has resulted from his work – and those who have stepped up to the plate to help him – at http://www.calebproject.org/bomm/dbindex.htm

  4. CASE STUDY IN WEB MOBILIZATION — Want to see a case study in how to develop a great mobilizer’s presence on the web? Check this site by Howard Culbertson, Professor of Missions at Southern Nazarene University: http://home.snu.edu/~hculbert.fs Great stuff. (Thanks Ken!)

  5. GREAT RESOURCE FOR MISSIONS MOBILIZATION MATERIALS — Here’s a great resource for missions mobilization materials, originally featured in the Sept. 27th issue of Brigada Today. If you happen to live in the USA or know someone who does, it’s hard to beat them. Just call 1-8MORE- BOOKS (1-866-732-6657) or Fax 706-554-7444 or email . Ask for a catalogue. While you’re at it, check out the William Carey Library’s web presence at: http://www.gospelcom.net/wclbooks/ We’re *so* glad to see them full-steam on the web! order@omlit.om.org>

  6. NEED SOME CONTENT FOR YOUR NEXT MISSIONS CONFERENCE? Consider Operation WorldView, a multimedia missions seminar customized for the unique mission vision of your church family, originally featured in Brigada Today March 8th, 2002. “Operation Worldview is the best medium I know to communicate God’s perspective on global missions. The entire presentation is filled with superb Biblical content and dynamic multimedia that is shared with great passion and enthusiasm. God clearly worked throughout the presentation, and our church will never be the same.” -Peter Simpson, Lay missions leader. For more information about Operation WorldView check out http://www.mission1.org or contact Werner Mischke at . </werner@mission1.org>

  7. GEORGE VERWER ROCKS — How long has it been since you stopped by to visit at: http://www.missionsmobilisation.com You probably need to see it again. This is George Verwer’s Acts 13 Breakthrough group. which includes many of George Verwer’s articles. It also has information on mission resources as well as links to other good mission sites. The group is also working on having the site available in other major languages apart from English. Make sure you visit the site.

  8. CHRISTIAN AND MISSIONARY ALLIANCE ARE HARD AT WORK — If you happen to be from the C&MA, then you know that your missions board is hard at it. Just check out: http://www.cmalliance.org/missions/omm.htm and you’ll see some great content and great packaging for missions mobilization conferences. Raising the bar for everybody else. :-)

  9. GET IDEAS FROM GRACE — It’s obvious from Grace’s page that she loves the color green :-). Check it out at: http://disciplethenations.org/index99.html Perhaps the best thing about green is that it signifies the word “go” (at least when it comes to stoplights) and there’s no doubt that that’s what Grace’s page is about — utilizing music and arts for missions mobilization. Great job Grace!
