9) Feeling Called?
As a part of the Paul-Timothy Training workshops I do (primarily in Nepal), we talk about this question of “call,” and we look at the examples of Paul, Timothy, and Apollos. In Acts 16:1-3 Timothy was invited by Paul, and in Acts 18:24, 27-28 Apollos volunteered.
Those who insist on an Acts 13:2-3 “Call” are excluding at least 2/3 of the pool of highly qualified workers. In a typical workshop of 40 attendees, only 2-3 will say they heard a call, while 10-15 each identify more with Timothy or Apollos.
