7) What’s Up with the Covid Surge?

Can you believe it? We’re turning the corner on 2021 and Covid is still wreaking havoc in our lives. In fact, it seems to be surging more than ever. In the top 10 countries for ongoing fatalities, the deaths per cases are all ranging well above 5%. (5% of all COVID-infected people perish.) As this Brigada goes out the door, one of our friends has been waiting in the E.R. for 24 hours just to be examined. (There are so many Covid patients — and hospital staff are catching it too!)
