Kyrgyzstan’s new acting President Sadyr Japarov, who came to power last week in a popular uprising, may run for a full term if the country amends its constitution to allow it. We aren’t experts in politics but we know that God is the one who allows kings to be placed in authority. May He reign even in this, Central Asia’s only full democracy. The face of Kyrgyzstan you show in your article, while a nice smiling man, is not apparently ethnic Kyrgyz. He seems to be ethnic Russian, which is not reflective of the majority of citizens in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Thank you Janet! It was a screen-grab from the prayer video. I’m assuming there must be Russians there too, probably forced to move there during Stalin’s reign of russification. So we’ve grabbed another screenshot. This is the one that PrayerCast uses for their cover. See if that one looks more in sync with the population.
