I have the course and have been through it. In fact, when I was tasked with starting a missions team at our young church, I took the entire team through the course. I’d recommend it. I can’t say how much it motivates participants other than that I’m now serving as the first sent out missionary from our church.
I’m not sure if it’s the same thing but I’ve used a 6-week study that was entitled “God’s Heart for the Nations ” by Every Ethne. Here’s the link http://www.everyethne.org/resources/xplore/. It’s a great 6-week Bible study that introduces the Biblical basis for missions, UPGs, and specific roles that every believer can play (going, sending, welcoming, mobilizing). I did it with several groups of college students and it was super!
Hi JS. I think that course is called Xplore, brother. But it’s great. We’re using it widely now.
This is the thing Doug is talking about:

It’s by Jeff Lewis, who has worked quite a bit with young adults and is currently a professor in additional to other mobilization efforts. It’s been in print for a long time, though this one was expanded quite a bit and republished by Caleb Project in 2002, now distributed by Pioneers.
