The Mission (1986)
Themes of repentance/pennance, enculturation, power/meekness, faith/action, religion, colonialism, politics.
Beautifully shot, gorgeous music, a cinematic experience.
Wholly concur with The Mission. Also include “End of the Spear” (2005), story of 5 Ecuadorian missionary martyrs.
I Love “St Patrick – The Irish Legend”. Dramatic, Inspiring and particularly the scene of the the Angels calling him to Ireland and his subsequent battle within himself & his family to obey Gods call on his life !!
