UPDATE ON HUMANITARIAN WORKERS IN AFGHANISTAN
Several have asked about the Shelter Now folks in Afghanistan. Apparently, their lawyer visited Kabul yesterday, but was not able to see the judge, or even speak with him. A man with the protocol department reportedly told the lawyer that everyone in the court was busy, and now not concerned with the case. In addition, these 8 friends have also been moved to a different location, described more “like a dungeon”. If you haven’t already prayed for these folks, now would be a good time.

MISSION TO MUSLIMS IN MOSQUE DESPITE CURRENT CRISIS
How do they do that? The answer is ‘Through Meetings for Better Understanding.’ (MBU) And it works! The pioneer of the method, a Egyptian Christian, says that several Muslims have become Christians through those gatherings. They can take place alternatively in a mosque, church, or a small group. A day after the bombs started falling on Afghanistan a previously planned MBU on the subject of war took place peacefully in a mosque in the UK. A Muslim and a Christian leader spoke for 30 minutes each on what their books say regarding the subject. This was followed by 30 minutes question time. MBU’s are not debates where each others faiths are publicly attacked. Neither are they dialogues with the goal to compromise the message. Each side simply presents its view on theological and social topics. Of course, the Christians have a tremendous advantage because the word of God is sharper than a two edged sword…(Heb. 4:12) In the time of fellowship that follows relationships are built and so the witness goes on and on. For more information and practical help on how to set up those meetings in your area contact
