We liked Matt Stone’s article at…

In his 12 steps at the conclusion of the article, notice he doesn’t presume to tell Christians to keep quiet about their faith (so we don’t offend others). He just asks us to meet Muslims as PEOPLE rather than members of a religion. His article focuses on seeing individuals rather than nations. It seeks dialogue rather than diatribes. What were your thoughts about his admonitions?
Good, balanced article. It is true that Muslims interpret Islam and their writings in numerous ways, much like Christians do. So, it is very true that we should meet Muslims as individuals, and not as one big homogeneous group.
However, it is also true that Islam is a Satanic lie straight from the pit of hell. Muslims are born into that spiritual prison—not of their own choosing (excluding those who convert). Most don’t know that they are even in this prison.
But there are a growing number to whom the LORD is directly speaking, through dreams, visions and other means. These individuals know that something is wrong, but don’t know exactly what. It is our commission as believers—i.e. disciples of the risen Savior Jesus Christ—to proclaim the Way, Truth and Life. To be salt and light. To clearly explain the Good News, without compromise.
To do this, Muslims must know that we love them. If there is no love, there will be no conversions. Where there are no conversions, there will be no DMMs.
It’s hard work. But it’s doable with the power of the Spirit of the Living God, who lives within us.
