[2023/10/03: Edited to reflect the proper link] This past week at Missio Nexus (see Item 10), we heard about a mission course named, appropriately enough, The Mission Course. It’s a 6-week course designed for you and the people you lead. Would you consider trying it out with us, then returning to this item to report back regarding your findings? To learn more, just navigate to http://www.themissionscourse.com. The first thing the course application will do is share a list of requirements for eligibility. (For example, if we’re not mistaken, it looks like the course is designed only for those who have finished college. That’s different, right? (Thanks to Hal for helping us include the correct link!)

I’m not sure the link corresponds with the description. The Go Fund seems to be different than The Mission Course. I’d love to see The Mission Course if possible though. Thanks for your ministry!
I was at the Missio Nexus Conference last week and found the link to the Mission Course. Here it is:

I’ve changed the original item to include this link. Thank you Hal, for watching our back!
Sorry, but I can’t get beyond the intro web page. This is 2023 and the missions community is still presenting new resources with white people making up the entire cast of presenters addressing an all-white audience? Do we feel justified because we used a person of color to introduce it? Please tell me that there are multiethnic voices being heard as experts in the content and a multi-ethnic audience. Even if that is true, I’m embarrassed that we are communicating up front that missions is still focused on Caucasians being mobilized by Caucasians.
Ellen, this is great input. Later in the month, we’ll be hearing an intro on this course from the developer/promoter and we’ll be able to share your input face to face. Valuable stuff.
I would love to see an up-to-date article comparing the many “intro to missions” courses, referencing the scope, audience, and limitations of each, though it would be hard not to step on toes putting it together… ! Some of the others that come to mind:
