One month after the coup and the situation in Niger just continues to worsen. It’s bad for expatriates and equally bad or worse for nationals. The International Crisis Group is still listing Niger in a “top-two” Crisis Watch. (https://www.crisisgroup.org/crisiswatch). Insiders there are telling us that it’s getting harder and harder for locals themselves. They’re not only anxious and scared, but also – they can’t even afford or find basic supplies and food. This has all come on the heels of a very fruitful time for the Lord (in terms of multiplying disciples). Rats. Let’s all join this week and pray, asking God to work a miracle and bring peace to Niger.
