1) Let’s Pray for Niger

One month after the coup and the situation in Niger just continues to worsen. The German news site, DW, carried this 3-minute video in the past 24 hours: https://www.dw.com/en/a-month-after-coup-nigers-situation-is-dire/video-66682167. It’s bad for expatriates and equally bad or worse for nationals. The International Crisis Group is still listing Niger in a “top-two” Crisis Watch. (https://www.crisisgroup.org/crisiswatch). Insiders there are telling us that it’s getting harder and harder for locals themselves. They’re not only anxious and scared, but also – they can’t even afford or find basic supplies and food. This has all come on the heels of a very fruitful time for the Lord (in terms of multiplying disciples). Rats. Let’s all join this week and pray, asking God to work a miracle and bring peace to Niger.
