If you haven’t yet upgraded to Wi-fi 6 (which is appreciably faster and also more effective at passing through walls), some might say that you might want to consider it now. Here’s a router being rolled out by ExpressVPN, the same folks who offer Virtual Private Networks on the web — company with a good track record. With this router, according to the vendor, everyone on your network is protected all the time. And all this for $189. (Note that for VPN protection, you’ll need one ExpressVPN account – but just one.) Content filtering and ad-blocking are included. It’s simple – but be sure to do your own testing and be ready to return the unit if it’s not effective. Get an extra 10% off the normal (discounted) Amazon price simply by providing the code, 10AIRCOVEOFF. If it works, you’d be getting a new Wi-fi 6 router *with* ad-blocking for $150. That would be a great find – but make sure you do your own testing. Some of the reviews aren’t that positive. (Thanks Roland!)
Is this a product advertisement? The “ExpressVPN Aircove, ultra-fast Wi-Fi 6 Router with built-in VPN protection” gets pretty low ratings on Amazon. Lots of folk are frustrated with its speed, range, poor web GUI , no WPS button, strangled bandwidth, poor support, and it runs hot. I am not sure why Brigada is promoting this product.
Hi Roland. We shared it solely because it’s such a common problem/request for help – so … super-relevant… and because ExpressVPN has typically been well-regarded in the world of VPNs. We’ve used them – and they were intuitive and effective. So sorry to hear that this new product is not. Thanks for chiming in!
By the way, it wasn’t an advertisement. We had simply heard about the product.
It looks like it has a solid rating of 4 stars as I am seeing it:

This is probably a good solution for anyone not wanting to dive into settings to configure a router to work with a VPN.
There are cheaper Wifi6 routers that could be set up to do similar with a VPN of your choice but that takes a bit more tech ability.
