MultiplyUs 11 will take place virtually on March 22 from 2 – 4 pm ET, brought to you as a joint venture by 24:14 and MoreDisciples.com. On this MultiplyUs, we will focus on the Asbury Revival, Discerning a Movement From God, and Reaching Gen Z. There’s a lot of talk about movements these days, but how do we know when we are living in the middle of one? Once we have identified a movement, what behaviors would encourage it forward, and which behaviors would inhibit its growth? To register, go to www.MultiplyUs.com. Once you have registered, you will receive an email with the Zoom link on the morning of the conference.

I have read a number of articles critical of the Asbury revival, which was sad. Those criticizing often lamented, “The gospel is not being preached!” This shows their basic misunderstanding of the difference between a revival and an awakening. Revival is when the Spirit moves in believers to convict of sin, bring repentaance and a deeper surrender, strengthening their relationship with Him and giving them vision.
In contrast an awakening is when the Spirit moves greatly among unbelievers, as He did among hippies in 1968-72 (see the Jesus Revolution movie). There the gospel is center.
I wish that we would stop attacking what God is doing and join in. These critics need a touch of the Spirit to bring repentance!
