Lately, our staff here has been exploring the use of so-called “print-on-demand” publishers. We identified one in a previous item on Feb. 7 at…

And our good friends at Innovation In Mission delved even further into Snowfall on Feb. 17th at…

No matter how you slice it, these “print-while-you-don’t-have-to-wait” services are revolutionizing our ability to provide resources for students, co-workers, and constituencies.
(Tony, thanks for drawing attention to the Innovation in Mission write-up.)
We’ve used a print on demand service for the two books my wife has written and we are very satisfied with it. When we need books for a conference or one of our distributors needs more books, we just email the order in and we have more books. There is a lot of free elements after you originally publish and the books are also available on Amazon and other distributors automatically if you purchase an ISBN. Also, we haven’t “sold” the book to a publisher so we have total control over changes or new editions or whatever is needed. We use http://www.lulu.com
If you are an author and would like for Snowfall Press to print one of your books for free (to see how quickly we work and the quality we deliver), please send me an email to:
chaz.nichols@snowfallpress.com
I look forward to hearing from you.

Awesome Chaz. Bless your heart! I’ll take you up on that offer. Snowfall was willing to send me a sample from someone else, but there’s nothing like getting a sample like I hoped to prepare. Again, we’re grateful.
