A Team Expansion missionary who has lived outside of the US for the better part of a decade says that every once in a while someone will tell him about a great movie or TV series that’s aligned with Christian values or is at least family friendly (probably rated PG or G). He’s wondering if any of you would share what your favorites are in hopes that he can buy pirated copies… just kidding…. legal copies for his family to enjoy. Just mention your favorites in the comments below and we’ll hook these up to Amazon links next week in case you’d like to buy them there.
The Black Stallion is one of my favorites.
Amazing Grace is an inspirational true story of how the slave trade was abolished in England.
If there are any young girls in the family… we love the American Girls movies. Felicity, Samantha, Kit, and Molly all have some values to teach and make it easy to imagine and teach about a certain time in history. (The books are even better!) And of course for older kids and adults, The recent Disney versions of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and Prince Caspian are also great.
Just watched Kit Kittredge: An American Girl. Good conversation starters on families sticking together, need for sacrifice, not judging others based on appearance or assumptions.
Our ministry has just set up the ANIMAX35 Animation Inventory which lists Christian animated cartoons and movies, if that’s helpful:

We’d welcome additional recommendations for titles we don’t have listed yet, too.
Check out “eduflix(dot)com” and click on movies. All are family friendly and at very good prices and quick service.
