Down through the years, many Brigada participants have been so encouraging about what Brigada has meant to them. If you have a moment this week, would you please take a sec to share a Brigada memory, or a Brigada item that you ended up using? We’ll share one memory here to get things going: Several years ago, a ministry in Colorado brought out a new kind of world map that viewed the world in a different way. They released the map exclusively through a single item in Brigada. This was back during the days of fax machines. On Monday morning, they came in from their weekend and later wrote us that they could tell the Brigada item had been published. Their fax machine had scrolled out printed orders until the tray had filled to the brim. The mapmaker told us the story that the entire floor was flooded with orders to the point that the machine had run out of paper AND the fax machine’s memory was filled to capacity. They were astonished that their map had struck a chord – and that the Brigada audience was so interested.
Do you have a story like this?
Either way, if Brigada has been helpful to you at any point in the past, and if you’d like to undergird it going into the future, you’re invited. Just click to https://brigada.org/empower-brigada.
I find out about courses in Germany back in 2005 for the purpose of studying Islam without leaving my ministry situation in Europe. I ended up completing an M.A. (ICS) through the German campus of Columbia International University.
Yes, I am a fan, too! I’ve been alerted to so many excellent resources that have helped me as a Global Worker. I think the excellent 24/7 Ramadan prayer was one, but there are many others. I appreciate the alerts to DMM resources but that it is not exclusively that. Even if I don’t use the resource myself I have been able to suggest helpful materials to others .
I’ve been a fan of Brigada almost from the beginning I was our church’s missions chair back in 94 I think it was and I had John Robb as our missions weekend speaker. He told me about this new publication about missions resources called Brigada. Over the years through resources and educational opportunities through the old ACMC (which I served with for a short period of time) and Brigada, I was able to become a mission pastor on our church staff. Brigada provided all kinds of help along the way from the best devotional for short term ministry trips to video training series to networking contacts and other missions professionals. So many resources from over the years helped pursue adopting an UPG, trips to Kenya, Uganda, Egypt, Mexico, Russia, Jamaica, India, Taiwan and Crow Agency Montana. I then later served with a mission agency for 14 years and am now retired. Thank you Doug for your faithfulness to the Great Commission.
Brigada has meant that resources we’ve created (Zume.Training, Kingdom.Training, Disciple.Tools, Pray4Movement.org, and Prayer.Global) and freely given have helped waaaaaaay more of our brothers and sisters around the world as we all pursue the thing Jesus wanted: obedient disciples (who themselves make obedient disciples) of all nations!
Thanks sincerely for your partnership, Doug (and team)!
It was great source of information, knowledge and resources available for all, especially who enter missions or ministry, but sorry to say that even though I was with you from the beginning 1995, you people stopped sending me the weekly, even after joining again and again through this website, and also wrote to you in this regards personally, I still do not know the reasons for the same, but great to receive your weekly.
