This was a very thorough survey. However, I was not prepared for how long and detailed it was. I would have liked to have had more time to consider answers or known ahead of time what the questions would be. Also there were a few questions where the choices given were to confining or limited without opportunity to create another type of answer.
Hello Randy! Thank you for your comments about the survey. I am considering how to “warn” people that the questionnaire will take time to answer. I had honestly thought that they could even make a pause & then come back to work on their answers, but apparently that is not possible with the online approach. I also can send this out as a Word Doc. Thanks for at least participating! Greatly appreciated!
I agree with Randy. It took some time to give thoughtful answers.
It would have helped to have the list of questions beforehand, to complete the answers in a word document, then transfer the answers to the boxes in the questionnaire.
In addition, I wish I could have captured the questions and my answers, to personally pass on to would-be missionaries that I know.
Hey Heidi! So true, the questionnaire has some truly deep-reaching questions. I truly have no way to give the questions ahead of time. However, my email address is at the top and I added it again in the THANK YOU page, with an offer to send a blank questionnaire as a Word Document. The only idea I have to capture the questions and your answers would have been to take a picture of the page. As amazing as SurveyMonkey is, there are some limitations. But thank you for giving your best and investing such valuable time and thought into this project. I can guarantee, that those who will eventually read all of our advice and wisdom will appreciate the time you took to share your heart. God bless you!
The length was good but not without drawbacks. My wife called me for tea (NZ for dinner or supper) and I seem to have lost it all at no.29 out of 50 and my computer incompetence disallows me from completing it. It seemed to disappear like a universe at God’s command!!
Oh Richard! What a blow , after being over half-way through!!! That’s crazy!! The digital,’on-line experience thru SurveyMonkey does not seem to have a button to “save for later completion”. That is unfortunate!
Hopefully, after the shock wears off, you’ll hop back into the questionnaire and have some
uninterrupted time to complete it.
Your stories matter! Thank you for investing in the lives of future “next gen” missionaries! Nancy

Dear Nancy,
Quite by accident I discovered you had written me. I don’t know what happened to the first 29 of my answers but somehow I found the rest and sent them in to you.
Do you know of anyone or organisation that might like my memoirs? I’m pretty well through them now and have been sending them out to my NZ partners. I haven’t the money or the special guidance to make them into a book. Do you know of anyone with an email address that might like to read them? I don’t need money. I have written them in installments.
Sincerely in the Lord Jesus,
Richard Goodall
