Our organization is going through a 20 month reinvent and one of the things we hope to accomplish is strengthen the relationship and network that exists between “the home office” and “the field.” So we figured we’d ask… What kinds of processes, technology, etc. does your organization use that promote unity in this area? Just click “comment” on the web version of this query. Thanks for any fellow-helper sharing you can do.

One way to improve home office – field communications is to use virtual online conference rooms.
You would probably want features like:
1. Secure
2. Video
3. Whiteboard
4. Interactive chat
5. Browser
6. Power Point
7. 500 person capacity
9. Low Price
There are conference rooms available at HotConference.com for about $45 per month. Their new version, to be released early this year, will be 'Flash' which will be cross platform (PC, Mac, & Linux).
It is possible to purchase this conference room for only $20 per month for 4 hours of conference room time. I am planning on using this conference room within our own Community Health Evangelism ministry. I sell these conference rooms as a way to support our ministry. Contact me at: dave@dcrist.org
I would agree with the above comment. If your organization uses Exchange, check into adding on Communicator and LiveMeeting. Both very useful and integrate with Outlook. Be proactive in sharing pertinent information with those in the field. Our organization sends a monthly email with such information in one or two paragraph blocks and links/contact info in order to follow up or receive more details.
