A Brigada reader plans to upgrade his mission display at his church from an unengaging dated bulletin board to a digital interactive touchscreen system. They are looking for recommendations and reviews as to the best system and approach. Please comment! What do you currently do at your church?
1) Help! Mission Display Upgrade
We are finishing up our refreshed “Sending Wall” so I don’t have any recommendations but I want to follow the topic. We chose not to go with a touchscreen, though we’re interested in one. We’ll use a 40″ TV display to show curated videos and information slides. We’ll use Yodeck (https://www.yodeck.com) to display the content. The display will mount on a static world map with LED light strips around the land masses. We’ll use some kind of card rack for prayer cards, etc. We will likely move to or add a touchscreen in the future.
Have you considered my new software that runs on any device? MissionaryConnect.app puts the supported misisonary on any touchscreen, including church members phones. When a church subscribes for $39 or $59 a month, all of your missionaries are able to be displayed through a private, secure server. You can invite missionaries to update their profile, and you can invite members to register and view your supported missionaries. This is only for your supported missionaries. Each instance of the software is private. Hope to hear from you! paul @ missiondisplay.org
We use the display produced by Digital Mission Display: https://missiondisplay.org .
Thank you Pastor VandenBerg for responding to this question. We are connecting members to missionaries like never before in the history of the church. http://www.fbczeeland.org is a missions-minded church using the Digital Missions Display.
We use a custom-created Powerpoint which loops on a big-screen in the lobby. Non-interactive, but does have QR codes for online newsletters or websites for those that have them.
