It fascinates me that people are so nieve regarding the uncalculated unforseen consequences of these technologies. We are literally living through an arms race (one that we are losing). The first political entity to perfect the weaponization of AI will be the next super power for the foreseeable future. AI is not some harmless technology that only exists to benefit man kind. At worst it’s a weapon that is already being used to track control and manipulate the masses. These types of technologys will be the basis of the strong delusions that are referenced in the book of Revelation. You really have no idea how this is going to turn out but I am certain that a time is close at hand when being a Christ follower and or disciple will absolutely require the deliberate disconnecting from all technologys that will be connected to AI. The church of the end times will be off grid, neo-ludite and highly persecuted. I’m sorry that you can’t see that but the time is coming fast.
I love you man but you really need to wake up.
Your concerns are shared by many and are valid concerns, Willam Trauger. You’ll appreciate, then, that the AIandFaith.org community is assiduously focused on applying the ancient wisdom of the world’s religions toward proposing an ethical framework for AI that can be adopted by big tech, academia, governments and developers of all kinds to contain AI’s misuse. The Misinformation Hub is on way to address this, by empowering people to recognize mid and disinformation, and better, to do something about it.
