Literacy & Evangelism International exists to equip the Church to share the message of Jesus Christ through the gift of reading. This calling leads us around the world to develop Bible-content basic literacy materials (called primers) and Bible-content English as a Second Language (ESL) materials. 4) Bible Content English as 2nd Language Material
This is an excellent resource and ministry. It’s not only for ESL. While serving on the field I used this material to teach my house helper how to read in her own language and learn about Jesus at the same time. She was in her 40’s and had never finished first grade. By the 3rd or 4th lesson she was trying to read ahead and was full of questions about Jesus. I was thrilled at how this opened the door to share with her the truth of the gospel.
