Back in the day, there was a really cool service out in the Great Pacific Northwest (Seattle maybe?) called “Intercristo.” Job applicants could submit a profile of their skills and experience. Organizations with job openings could post opportunities and possibilities. It was kind of like a computer date-matching service (“eHarmony” for workers). But alas, in 2009, Intercristo merged with ChristianJobs.com. ( https://www.christianjobs.com/ ) Don’t get me wrong — there’s nothing wrong with ChristianJobs.com. But, because they also are a great spot for local churches, it feels like missions gets lost a bit in the shuffle. Is there any other site like this we should consider? A long-time Brigada user would like to post opportunities in his mission agency. Would you know of other options???
Yes, we have been using MissionNext (https://missionnext.org/) and have found many great candidates that way. There is also an organization called Compel Global that seeks to match prospective missionaries with the right organizations. (compelglobal.org). We have not used the service yet, but know the director, Steve Harling, is a great guy.
Yes, this is exactly what MissionNext does.
