Brigada readers are so resourceful! We recently asked for suggestions for a retreat center in Europe that would hold 250 people – rooms, food, meetings (no dorms). Where would you send him? Shouldn’t an org like O.M., YWAM, or GEM or SOMEONE have a big enough retreat center in a place like Croatia, France, England? Where would you send him? Thank you so much for your responses! We’ve followed up with so many of them. Do you have one you would like to recommend?

I know nothing about Europe but I remember going to an international conference in Hungary near Budapest, about 1 hour away. It was a stand alone hotel with lots of meeting rooms and a good place to stay. I think the price was reasonable as well. They had to shift meeting in Ukraine back in 2016 due to unrest and pivoted quick to this location in Hungary.
The sleeping capacity is only 150, but this conference center in Germany is very good: https://karimu.de/home/ .
Hotel Golebiewski in Wisla, Poland is a great place for retreats. This is in a mountain ski resort town, so they have great deals on rooms in the summer which is off-season. There is a giant indoor water park on the property, so it is perfect for children while the adults are in meetings.
Greek Bible Tours, in partnership with AMG International, hosts many mission agency retreats (sizes from 15 to 500 participants) in Greece. It is possible to do this at various seaside resorts or to organize a ‘Footsteps of the Apostles’ tour in conjunction with the training/gathering. Contact Greek Bible Tours via their website for information and quote. Our goal is to provide this as affordably as possible to ministries.
OM Germany has a main conference room which will hold 280 people, and breakout rooms for 50 to 70 people, in Mosbach, about 50Km east of Heidelberg. They do have some overnight accommodation but for smaller numbers. Contact hospitality.de@om.org
Ashburnham Place (https://www.ashburnham.org.uk) or The Hayes (https://www.cct.org.uk/the-hayes/accommodation) might be suitable. Both are large Christian conference centres in the UK.
tried to leave a comment (twice) and it said it was spam. oh well.
