God bless Brigada. He has done so. I think you may have done far more good than you realise. It’s probably so in my case too. My family of 28 have worked in Japan for 60 years with all but one still working here. One granddaughter is evangelising America because she was born there. The rest are mostly New Zealanders with some Japanese inlaws. My senior missionary left NZ in 1950 and loved the Japanese people for 70 years. Between the two of us I can only point to an estimated 50 churches and groups established here. But look what Paul gave birth to with only about 30 years of service! His Greek churches are no great advertisement for him now but that’s not all that God has chalked up to his credit. I’ve used less than simple speech to illustrate what I mean.
If I were to give an exhortation it would be to play down and scale down formal costly education, spiritual as well as secular. The master strategist seems to have majored on the lesser educated. But He did demand absolute dedication and obedience.
My silly computer uses capitals whatever I do for my email address. A fundamental error.
I’ m being brutal but professedly loving. Keep it simple, Stupid is the KISS method, highly recommended. Being fathered by a literary giant I use words like perspecuity and perspecacity but I don’t know their exact meaning! I also avoid the word exciting in recommending anything. I did Latin too but I don’t know what alumnus means. Despite all this I love Americans. They’re generous! and their cute expressions! e.g. (avoid e.g. too) “Y’all gonna vacuum some.”
