For example, have you ever tried the folks at…

Me neither. But let’s get solid reviews from folks, then add them to our “Comments” at the end of this entry. Let’s assemble a “best of the best” list of travel agents and agencies that will specifically try to cater to the needs of cross-cultural workers like those we love — and like the ones we *are*. Just click “comment” at the end of this item and add your favorite referral, along with your own brief testimony. Thanks!
I have used MissionTravel.org for years and am very pleased with service and pricing. We regularly have to fly to/from Africa and USA. They are African travel experts but we’ve also sent them to friends who use them to travel to other parts of the world. I checked with other agencies for years, but Mission Travel’s prices were always a bit better and their quick about responding to requests.
I have used MTS, Missionary Travel Service for more than 20 years. They have always found ways to get me to where I am going for the least cost!!! I highly recommend them.
We have been happy with the service from Debbie at Michael’s Travel Center: http://www.michaelstravel.com/
I personally use Kayak.com and eDreams.net to get an idea on prices and often book my own through those great online services but sometimes the peace of mind of using a travel agent outweighs any fare difference.
i’ve used BCD Travel for a few years for some short term teams. They’ve always been very responsive and given us great service.

I have used Laura Smith for about 10 years. She’s wonderful and really takes care of you.

I too have used http://www.MissionTravel.org and loved their service and fares compared to these others mentioned above. A few of their missionary airfare contracts allow for 3 complimentary bags too.
Try chris@missiontravel.org or kari@missiontravel.org. They also have an 888-849-8850 and Skype too, which has helped us in the past being overseas.
I highly recommend City Express Travel in the Chicago area. Andy Kumar specializes in group travel (teams, etc) but is also very clever with complicated multiple stop itineraries. Find them at http://cityexpresstravel.net – tell them Ed Brown recommended them… :) (might get me a future discount, who knows?)
I would like to recommend SIAMA World Mission Travel. It is based out of the Netherlands and does a great job finding the best deals for missionaries. Their website is http://www.siama.nl/
Hi, I have been using the services of Tim Lange for many years and he knows all the third world airlines and how to get you there. Amazing service and totally reliable. You can reach him at

We highly recommend the services of Beth and her gang at Ministry Travel. They specialize in African routes but can find great rates for just about any trip.

I use Fellowship Travel for group travel – they offer the ability to change names and add or drop people with no penalty up to a couple months out, which is great for short-term missions trips.

For over 15 years Mission Nannys has used Golden
Rule Travel for all International trips and they
have always given us great deals, especially on
humanitarian flights – great for one person and
very cheap compared to even economy. Thanks
you Golden Rule for helping us out on travel
costs. Betty Sullins
I have used Ted Groat and his team at Riverside Travel for many years, they have been very helpful and have often been able to find very good fares.
