OK… I still have to get past the cute name for this software…
If I can just get past the cute name, it’s actually a very strong contender for best free PDF creator in the business.

Hard to do better than the FREE:
PrimoPDF
http://www.primopdf.com (now owned by the Acrobat contender, NitroPDF–just like Acrobat Professional but for $69–full blown PDF creation/editing!!)
and
PDF Creator
http://en.pdfforge.org/pdfcreator (seemless print driver)
LOVE cutepdf! I’ve been using it for years and have NEVER had a problem with it. Love it.
Has anyone commented yet about the fact that Open Office, the free equivalent to Microsoft Office, can export files to PDF as well?
Also, MS Office 2007 has a Save as PDF add-on which can be downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=4d951911-3e7e-4ae6-b059-a2e79ed87041&displaylang=en
Cute PDF is good – I’ve been using it for years. However, I have now switched to “PDFCreator” as that allows to edit the meta data like “author name”. It’s the only solution I have found to removing the author name from the PDF – important for CAN stuff.
I tried using cute pdf for our newsletter but switched to pdf factory. cute pdf just didn’t work as well because it was too big for the emails I sent out with the newletter attached. Just my experience. I’ve not tried open office
What’s wrong with “cute” as a name?!?!
:-) Uhmmmm…. Just sounds so – — cutesy.
