GOT BUSINESS CARDS? GET ‘EM FREE
I saw this URL float by my inbox, but I didn’t give it much thought ’til my buddy actually used it to order a set of 250 free (
free) business cards of his own! Well I’ve got a copy of his right here on my desk and . . . guess what! They look GREAT! Colorful, substantial, and . . . you actually lay them out over the web! They’re pretty snazzy. And you can’t
beat the price (FREE!
). Here’s the disclaimer. My buddy got one free dollar bill when I ordered my business cards from his referral . . . and . . . I guess
Brigada would get one free dollar bill if a reader orders cards using the link below. The
great part is… here’s a chance to order something free . . . and help
Brigada. (The downside is… it’ll set you back $4.95 for the postage to send them to you.
) So anyway… bottom line… if you need 250 business cards and you’ve got $5, you’re in luck . . . and
Brigada is too!

Thanks in advance, if you’re one of the folks who needs cards! And hey… set up your free cards, get signed on so you can refer others, then those $1 referral bonuses will come your way as well! And here’s the greatest part of all !!! International participants are more than welcome to order cards and participate in the referral program! Yahoooo! Finally, life is good for international folks!
ARISE, SHINE MOROCCO!
Today only about one in fifty thousand Moroccans is a believer and in fellowship. Yet after more than a century of missionary endeavor, many believe the time is ripe for breakthrough in Morocco. Expat workers and national believers in Morocco have announced plans for an international Year of Prayer for Morocco and its peoples (YOP4M) in 2002. A video resource, a “52 Weeks of Prayer” booklet, and other materials are being produced for distribution. Prayer requests and praise reports from all regions of Morocco will be sent to participants around the world throughout 2002. Short-term teams will be coordinated. A global network must now be established. If you can help with this need or are interested in YOP4M please contact the International Facilitators at
YOP4M@hotmail.com. You are invited to play an important part in this effort.
OPERATION WORLD 2001 BULK PURCHASE BY MAY 10TH!
If you’d like to partner with the US Center on
Operation World bulk purchases, you’d better act fast. The publishing company has given them a May 11th deadline.
Operation World is coming out in the fall, and you can get in on bulk pre-publication pricing. The U.S. Center for World Mission is again offering Operation World at cost (or as close as they can get!) which should be $4.95 or less including shipping to you (sorry, U.S. addresses only). Last time we all got together and purchased 100,000 copies before the presses started rolling. If you are interested in 100 or more copies of Operation World 2001 for (about) $4.95 delivered to U.S. addresses, email to
ow2001@uscwm.org with your contact information (name, address, phone) and a quantity. You can also call 626-398-2328. They cannot go for fewer copies, so it would be a waste of Internet bandwidth to ask.
And just in case you were wondering, the book is not out yet, but should be sometime in September.

The U.S. Prayer Center’s Eddie Smith has just released a new book,”Intercessors: How to Understand and Unleash Them for God’s Glory.” C. Peter Wagner writes: “This is a one-of-a-kind book! WHAT TO DO WITH JOB OFFERS/REQUESTS
We sometimes receive notices for job openings, many of which are in 10/40 window nations. In general, it’s difficult to publish all those, since this list is typically reserved for news that would hopefully impact larger numbers of users rather than one user at a time. For example, here’s a school for the children of Christian workers located in Ankara Turkey. By this fall, they need at least 3 more elementary teachers and at least 2 more junior high teachers (state certification required; experience preferred). They even provide enough stipend to cover housing. (Teachers need to raise the remainder of their support. For more info, write Rhonda
kwiest@attglobal.net.) But unfortunately, we just can’t make this newsletter into a “job line.” There are nearly 10,000 subscribers… and this notice would eventually impact just 5 of them. However, we
have launched a service that
can help in this and many other cases. It’s called “Brigada-Opportunities.” It’s like having a free placement service combined with a free “headhunter” service (the friendly kind) all in one! If you’re searching for the right opportunity, just send a note to
brigada-opportunities-subscribe@egroups.com. And if you’ve got an opportunity, just email the note to
brigada-opportunities@egroups.com. (Those with opportunities don’t actually have to join — their email will float into the conference even though they’re not subscribed! That way, they get to place their notice and those who are searching for the opportunity get to read the mail! When the volunteer hits reply, the reply goes straight to the person who sent the message (not to the whole conference). So… those with job options — please try Brigada-Opportunities! And if you’re searching, please subscribe there.
GET THE “INSIDE SCOOP” ON MISSIONS AROUND THE WORLD!
Christian Aid invites you to subscribe to the Missions Insider Report, a free, weekly e-newsletter detailing the work and move of God among the nations through thousands of indigenous missionaries. Read reports from missionaries most of us never hear about, as they labor for our Lord and reap His harvest in some of the most difficult, obscure, and unreached nations. To subscribe to the free, Missions Insider Report, send a blank email to
insider-subscribe@christianaid.org. Visit their website at
http://www.christianaid.org or visit their XtremeMissions site at

DISCLAIMER — Please note that there’s no way we can possibly screen all the text on all the web sites or items we recommend. SUBMITTING CONTENT — To submit content or ideas to Brigada Today, first please get a copy of “Guidelines for submitting items to Brigada” Then, once you’ve composed your item in keeping with those guidelines, send your item for Brigada Today to DLucas@teamexpansion.org.
Thanks to for hosting the Brigada mailing list.
Emphasis is placed on items relating to unreached peoples and challenges faced by those reaching them cross-culturally.
PLEASE DON’T SUBSCRIBE US TO YOUR LIST — It’s always better to ask before manually force-adding anyone to your list-serve or mailing list. Recently, tons of well-meaning people have been subscribing Doug to their lists. Since he often travels overseas, he doesn’t join many of those, for obvious reasons (like being charged big-time for overseas access). So as a general rule, please don’t bulk-mail us! See the note above if you’d like to submit items for Brigada Today. Thanks for understanding. Bottom line: We will never create Brigada Today items from bulk mail. Bulk mail gets deleted immediately — sorry. Nothing personal. We suggest you apply the same standard to everyone. Ask first!
WARNING ABOUT FORWARDING EMAILS — Please, before forwarding any kind of request (even if it says “please send this to all your friends”), please check to make sure it has a VERIFIABLE ORIGIN, a VERIFIABLE PURPOSE, and a VERIFIABLE CLOSURE (OPC). By following this simple approach, many “email viruses” could be nipped in the bud… at least in the Brigada family. More information about the full Brigada OPC protocol is available. Thank you.
