Funny name. Serious task manager. Nozbe …
is one of about 2500 online task management platforms. The reasons I like it more than any other: There’s a great iPhone version, there’s a great Windows version, there’s a great web version, and they all sync together well for a very affordable price. It follows the David Allen “Getting Things Done” model for task management. If you’re comfortable with that, you’ll be excited about Nozbe.
Less “slick” but with perhaps greater functionality it toodledo.com. Combine that with PocketInformant (available in various smartphone platforms) and you’ve got a powerhouse calendar/to-do combination.
If it weren’t for the monthly fee, I’d be all over Nozbe…looks like lots of great integration is possible!
For now, I”m looking for options that are free…and usable with a “dumb” phone..ie any related website designed with “dumb” phones in mind. Any suggestions??
I have a yahoo, gmail, AND Google Apps. Integration with either evernote or onenote? Not sure what is possible.
Currently using O.N., but willing to switch to E.N.):-)
Hi KathyC. Little known fact: Nozbe offers a non-profit discount. Write them at questions@nozbe.com and include proof of non-profit status (like – a letter from the IRS or the equivalent in your homeland). You’ll save the equivalent of one of their “levels” or subscription.
Thanks for the info! I assume “editor” writing is doug? I have a related follow up question more appropriate to take “off line” but can’t find an email address for you on this or team expansion site….
Hi KathyC. Yup — my email address is scattered all over the web, I bet, so it probably won’t hurt me much to publish it here. DLucas followed by an “at” sign, then TeamExpansion with a dot then org.
I checked out Nozbe… I don’t need the online sync, so I used their new desktop tool which is free. Having already sprung $80 for the GTD plug-in for Outlook, I found that Nozbe had fewer features. :( I was looking for a way to integrate areas of focus and move tasks between projects which is less than easy with the plug-in. I found Nozbe less flexible than the Outlook plug-in, rather than more. Of course, Nozbe just released their desktop client, so they’ll probably add features over time.
Hi Karl. So — did you mean the GTD plug-in for Outlook located, for example, here:

Looks very interesting — but at first glance, I’m personally not as excited about the fact that, long term, I can’t see as easily what others are working on in my work group. Only my own information is visible, right? Nozbe gives us a common pool of tasks and projects. Completely different product and paradigm. I suppose either way, it boils down to personal subjective preference.
For implementing GTD you can use this this application:
http://www.Gtdagenda.com
You can use it to manage your goals, projects and tasks, set next actions and contexts, use checklists, and a calendar.
Syncs with Evernote and Google Calendar, and also comes with mobile version, and Android and iPhone apps.
Just a side note.. Nozbe comes from “BE Naturally OrganiZed”. I think you might want to know what is hidden behind this ‘funny’ name
