Greetings
I was interested in your request
I have visited the Solomons a number of times and was there in August for the Awaken the Nation gathering.
There is now a reasonably strong national church movement and churches in many areas
There are several good source books to give background ie Fire in the islands and The Shark God.
Love to hear more of your interest and work
Kind regards

Hi John
I work with Scripture Union in Solomon Islands, but am based in Adelaide, South Australia.
You can call them on 677 20201, and ask to speak to Edward Sade (SU’s Administrator).
I am working in partnership with the Solomon Islands Translation Advisory Group (SITAG) to produce a Sunday School curriculum in Solomons Pijin. Due for release in January 2011. We’ll be holding SS training workshops in November in Honiara.
SU is also involved in a peer mentoring program in high school, in the area of HIV/AIDS education and prevention, based on biblical principles.
Like Max above, I’m keen to hear of your interest. There is a LOT happening in the Solomons…
