A fellow Brigada reader is seeking equipment that can create internet Wi-Fi hotspots via satellite, rather than relying on cell towers, and that is also solar-powered. This is for a missionary heading to a remote rural area without access to power or internet service. Could you provide guidance on where to find such equipment? Please comment!
I would reach out to the excellent team at Sonset Solutions to discuss what they’ve seen be effective, it might involve combining a solar-system with a satellite hotspot solution. https://sonsetsolutions.org/
Have you tried Starlink with a solar battery system? The Starlink unit is easy to set up and manage. You can use Starlink’s content filter to exclude explicit content, or change the DNS server and use a tool like OpenDNS for advanced content filtering.
