This past week, a Brigada participant messaged us, “My organization is planning to start regular webinars. We need a platform that would automate and connect registration, Zoom link mail out, and newsletter mailing through Mailchimp (or equivalent). It does not have to be free – we just want something that works well and does what we need it to do.” This is a rapidly advancing field. Remember when GoTo Webinar had a virtual corner on the market? To whom would you refer such a seeker today!!?? Brigada readers need to know. Thanks in advance for any comments you can share! Just click below.

Hi Brigada users,
My suggestion would be to dig a little deeper into Zooms features. Zoom allows you to set up paid or free registration for one-off or recurring meetings and webinars (webinars restrict the guests to only having access to chat while in a meeting they can open their mic and camera). The registration lets you include custom questions and download the list of attendees so you can import them later to your CRM or MailChimp.
I don’t think there is a silver bullet for sending event invitations via MailChimp (or another service) automatically. These really need to be customized for your audience, event, and organization. But MailChimp does make it easy to duplicate emails, update any information that needs to be changed, and then schedule them out even months ahead.
Something I have not looked into very much for this use case but I would recommend checking out is Zapier. Zapier is an paid online integration tool with connections to all kinds of online services including Zoom and MailChimp (and most of the other email marketing services).
Blessings,
Matt
Thanks Matt! Good brainstorming.
