Several have responded to our inquiry about “which site do you use” for booking airfares online. See the original post at https://brigada.org/2024/04/28_40518. If you have additional feedback, please comment there in the same post to keep all the “lessons learned” together. We love the Brigada family. Crowdsourcing our pooled knowledge of tools and apps is one of the best parts about Brigada. We also posted a batch of travel agents and agencies provided previously by the Brigada family.

I no longer use online sites like Orbitz or Expedia. I do use them, however to do research, but I found that it is best to do the final booking with the airline itself. I’ve had to many negative experiences with bookings on the online site. When it comes to seats, luggage issues, and rates with multiple airlines, it can be a nightmare.
I have been using Priceline for years. I tried the United Airlines website and got a better price as United Airlines allowed me to purchase the flight without paying for the seats. I think that with Priceline, I was required to pay for the seats. I also recommend to try scheduling months in advance. You usually have to try multiple dates. I saved some money by scheduling months in advance.
