If you do, then we’re curious if you’ve ever used a product called MailMerge365 https://mailmerge365.com/. It’s supposed to help you track the “opens” and “click-throughs,” making he Word+Outlook system work as well as MailChimp. The question is – has anyone ever tried MailMerge365? If so, please let us know what you found.

No, I have not used it but I would recommend using another email client than Outlook anyway:

@Dan, it seems it’s pretty easy just to hit Outlook’s “Reject All” and to turn off advertising anyway. Also, that’s only on some accounts, not on all accounts.
I have used Outlook mailmerge many times, I just use Word. Simple and quick. However, for regular newsletters, I went through Tech soup and got an account for Constant Contact. This provides 50% discount on Constant Contact, and you get to see who opens and does not open the email.
Another mail service is MailerLite, which seems very good
