This past week in a meeting, one of my teammates — a guy named Allan who used to be a chemist (he’s super-smart) — was talking about the enemy we face every day of our lives. He reminded all of us that the enemy comes to “steal, kill and destroy.” He rattled off that he wants to steal our joy, kill our vision, destroy our relationships. By contrast, Jesus wants to restore our joy, redeem our vision, and renew our relationships. In short, Jesus wants us to have an abundant life (John 10:10). So tell me: Which would you choose? : ) (I’m telling you: This Allan guy is a smart dude.) So this coming week, don’t let the enemy defeat you. The stakes are just too high.
