Have you ever used a voice-changer to “anonymize” yourself? A friend wrote this past week from a creative access nation. This friend needs to record devotions for distribution to their country-folk, but if their voice is identified it could land them in jail. They’re searching for offline software that allows a ten-minute voice recording in WAV format to be modified with a broadcast-quality result. Can you help? If so, just click “Comment” and pitch in your idea. Thanks in advance!

You may find what you need through this search:

Thanks very much. I’ve done a Google search, but haven’t tried this one. Some good suggestions in here…I’ll run thru them and give some a try!
If you have a recommendation for me to try, thanks very much! But FYI, I’ve already evaluated the apps in the list below. They are either AI-only (that is, work in real-time and require super-fast internet, which my colleagues do not have where they’re living), or the converted audio drops a lot of samples and the resulting quality is not good enough for broadcast. So if you know of any other apps than these – especially anything that’s Mac-native – your suggestions would be most welcome:
– Clownfish
– GRN
– Lingojam
– Lovo
– MorphVox
– Murf
– UnicTool MagicVox
– VideoProc
– Voicechanger.io
– Voxal
– Wootechy SoundBot
We used Audacity for many years when we lived in a creative access country. From our perspective, it seemed to work well and was very good at disguising the voices of the local people. https://www.audacityteam.org/
Thanks very much. We use Audacity to produce the devotions, but their pitch-bend and other filters just don’t seem to change hte voice enough for a high level of confidence. I’ll have to try it out a bit more. Appreciate your reply.
