10) Once Each Year, We Ask Brigada Participants to Pitch In

Once each year, we ask Brigada participants to pitch in. We don’t “sell” anything. We don’t collect anything from those who want to promote books, conferences, or other resources. Yet already, several key friends (Brigada participants who want to help) have pitched in $4100.03! That’s amazing! (The journey of 1000 miles begins with one step.) Of course, by the time we pay for a dedicated server (with the bandwidth to handle the Brigada audience without getting bogged down), along with all other web, email, and publishing expenses, together with the cost of a part-time assistant, our expenses each year come out to $17,000. That means that, as of today, Nov. 5, we have just $12,900 to go! Yay!

Here’s the deal: If we had just one person or church who would be willing to pitch in $6000 (half the costs remaining), then the rest of us could all pitch in $100 (or whatever God led us to do) and the entire year’s costs could be underwritten in one single week. There are thousands of people and churches who receive Brigada all over the world. The trouble is, many live in places where credit cards are hard to come by. And still others live in places where $40/month is the entire month’s salary. If God has blessed you with the resources to pitch in, when you do so, you’re not only helping empower the Brigada that *you* receive every week – you’re also helping someone else across the globe receive mission trends, resources, information, and more… each week… since 1995.
