Not completely sure regarding royalty free, but you might try Christian Focus https://www.christianfocus.com which is based on Scotland as we know that EEM has used their illustrations when publishing two different Czech and Ukrainian children’s Bible. Hope this is helpful.
This is guaranteed royalty free: https://www.freebibleimages.org/
I second this! We at GNPI have put up a few series of images (https://freebibleimages.org/contributors/gnpi/) as have many others. This is an online resource to which I refer people frequently.
Use AI? You can produce surprisingly good images for free using tools like DALL.E 2 (https://openai.com/product/dall-e-2).
I was going to say the same. If you want to create a consistent look for the project, AI would be your best option. You just have to figure out the best way to phrase what you want. That’s probably the trickiest part. There are many posts along these lines on Church Communications-related Facebook Groups.
You could also look into Fiver if you wanted to find/pay a human to create images for you.
Unsplash.com and Pexels.com are also good options for royalty-free images, although they don’t have a lot of Bible images per se. Bith are being added to each day.
I have developed a series of Bible maps that are released under a Creative Commons license. They are presently in English, Polish and German. I can add other languages, if needed, but will need translation help. Please read the license carefully as, although free to use, they cannot be used in commercial material. You can find them @ maps.hopeandfuture.pl. My contact info is on the site. BTW, they are also available for any SWORD Project apps from the Xiphos repository.
Thank you! These are helpful resources. I have compiled a variety of resources in this area here: https://www.reachguatemala.org/artwork-for-bible-resources/
