What’s your favorite missionary biography – and why? Please comment!
The biography of Hudson Taylor (Hudson Taylor: The Growth of a Soul, By Dr. and Mrs. Howard Taylor) has been inspiring, challenging and fascinating. I heard this feedback from many who read the book. We often give it to people, not only medical students and doctors, but to all who like to be challenged.

“Behind the Ranges” of J.O. Fraser impacted me deeply as I started my missions training in ’64-’65! His dependence upon the “Body” in England and their believing praying for him – I’ll never forget. He stated once, “I am but the finger of the hand of the Body bringing the Gospel to my Lisu people in China. But the finger cut-off (independent) from the hand & body is nothing!” That’s probably not his exact words but the spirit of what he wrote has never left me.
