JOSHUA PROJECT BECOMES JOSHUA PROJECT II

Odds are, you’re already aware that AD2000 & Beyond has closed down its International Office in Colorado Springs. But did you know that a remnant of its staff has moved over to what has now come to be known as “Joshua Project II,” a continuation and expansion of the original Joshua Project started by AD2000 and Beyond in 1995. Their purpose is “highlighting least reached peoples through information sharing and networking.” Be ready for their website at: http://www.joshuaproject.net.

CROSS-CULTURAL TRAINING IN TORONTO THROUGH MISSIONPREP

Toronto is one of the best multi-cultural contexts for cross-cultural training in N. America. You can do language learning with host nationals of nearly any destination. Add in field trips into the sub-cultures of “Little India & China Town” and you’re set. Don’t just talk about Islam ! Experience a mosque setting and interact with an Iman. Missionprep is not about lectures — its an adult based interactive model of training. Where are the everyday products used by the rest of the business world — and consumers — but made or marketed by people who serve Jesus with a heart for evangelism? Matthew sells industrial components and is looking for an Internet meeting place for Christians involved in the business world, particularly manufacturing. CANE RIDGE 2001

Cane Ridge 2001 will take place from Wednesday, August 8 until Friday afternoon, August 10, 2001 at the Cane Ridge Meeting House near Paris, Kentucky. It will be a trans-denominational, non-sectarian event which will have a special appeal to those whose heritage is the Campbell-Stone Restoration Movement. The two-day solemn assembly and prayer meeting will focus on repentance, reconciliation and revival [Joel 1:14]. It will be a time of earnestly seeking the Lord for healing, restoration, renewal and revival in the Campbell-Stone Movement and the Body of Christ. There will be no previously selected speakers although those who participate will be given opportunity to share as the Lord leads. The event will conclude with a Communion Festival on Friday afternoon much like the 1801 event. Advance registration is essential. Participants will arrange for their own housing, meals and transportation. Although children are invited, there will be no childcare provisions. 10/40 FOCUS SCHOOL OF WORLD MISSIONS

There is a new and exciting school in Youth With A Mission — the “School Of World Missions.” The SOWM is a mobile school encompassing 24 weeks of intense training in a different section of the 10/40 Window each year. Alternating between class and outreach allows you to immediately apply what you’re learning. Atheism, Buddhism, Hinduism and Islam will be studied firsthand. Course content will include world overview, culture, evangelism, church planting, intercession and spiritual warfare, team building and dynamics.
