If you plan to travel internationally, you will need to get tested no more than 3 days before you travel by air into the United States (US) and show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight, or be prepared to show documentation of recovery (proof of a recent positive viral test and a letter from your healthcare provider or a public health official stating that you were cleared to travel). This includes US citizens and legal permanent residents. For more information go to https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/testing-international-air-travelers.html. What guidelines are there in your country?

I’d like to point out a brand new option that United Airlines and eMed have created – the BinaxNOW COVID-19 Ag Card Home Test. This is a “take-along” COVID-19 test that you can take with you on international trips. Then, instead of finding and using a foreign testing site, you break out a testing unit with your laptop, connect online to a proctor (who visually observes you taking the test), and then you get results both emailed (a PDF of results to your inbox) and a “pass” uploaded into the new Navica app to present at the airport. It’s the first FDA-authorized, virtually-guided, at-home COVID-19 rapid antigen test with automated results reporting. The test meets the self-test conditions of the Order for proof of negative COVID-19 test by the CDC and is accepted by United Airlines for entry into the US. See eMed.com to buy a six-pack, but it’s also appearing now at local pharmacies. I’m trying it out for my upcoming trip.
