MINISTRY MATERIALS FOR WOMEN

In an effort to network women leaders around the world, Kim latvia4him@juno.com would like to compile and share a list of training materials specifically for ministry to women. Would you happen to know of training materials that are available in languages other than English, such as Russian, Spanish, German, French, etc. An example of these materials might be: bible studies, leadership courses or training materials, team development materials, church planting, evangelism and discipleship materials, etc. All responses will be complied and made available through Brigada. SECOND CONSULTATION ON MINISTRY TO MUSLIM WOMEN

Christar, Arab World Ministries, US Center for World Mission, and Frontiers mission organizations are working together to hold The Second Consultation on Ministry to Muslim Women. It is going to be held at Eastern College (St. David’s, PA, near Philadelphia), June 8-10, 2001. College students, missionaries and lay women are invited to learn from experienced workers among Muslim women, to network with women involved in ministry to Muslims and to become better prepared and equipped for this ministry. First, Mike told us about a secure option that uses SSL technology. You can find out more at http://www.pop3now.com. Here, you can create an SSL link directly to your POP3 account and read or write e-mail securely. With Hotmail, you can pull in a copy of mail on your external POP3 server, but cannot manage the mail on the server. Using www.pop3now.com is also more secure since it uses SSL encryption. You might also try http://www.yahoo.com. At least one Brigada paricipant likes Yahoo because they don’t ever cancel your service.

SEARCHABLE DATABASE OF SHORT-TERM MISSION OPPORTUNITIES

Mission Data International recently rolled out a new website devoted to short- term missions — ShortTermMissions.com. The website features a fully searchable database of short-term mission opportunities. It provides detailed descriptions & requirements on short-term opportunities from many organizations. ShortTermMissions.com also includes in-depth mission agency information, articles, and discussion forums. It is an excellent resource to refer people to. Take a look! INTEGRATING MEDICAL PRACTICE WITH MINISTRY

Many health professionals and students want to address their patients’ spiritual needs, but simply don’t know how. The Medical Strategic Network (MSN) of Campus Crusade for Christ offers professional conferences to train health workers to sensitively and ethically integrate faith and practice. Led by an on-site faculty team of practicing physicians and nurses, participants will become equipped through lecture, case studies, panel discussions, role-play, small group interaction, Q & A, and a field practicum. You’ll learn to take a spiritual history, master a gospel presentation, and get hands-on experience with patients. There are 25 hours of CME, Category 1 and 31 hours of CEU are available.
