I was pretty shocked at the July 29th article in USA Today about human trafficking. I didn’t realize what a massive, worldwide problem human trafficking had become. I didn’t know there were 4 million victims right now, including 1 in 7 runaways. (Girls in foster care are particularly vulnerable.) I had no idea about the money involved — billions of dollars annually. I had no idea that prosecutions were down, even though trafficking is up.
