Thanks for the video suggestion, but I will kindly not use it as there is one line in the video that I disagree with, “We are all missionaries.” This is a common thread in the church today…it’s intended to motivate everyone towards God’s kingdom, but the collateral is that it actually downplays the need to cross cultural barriers to where there is no gospel access. If I can be a missionary right here, why would I go through the trouble to do so in a new culture, forsaking everything to go? The book, “When Everything is Missions” by Matthew Ellison and Denny Spitters provides more fodder for the conversation.
